A timelapse camera is installed for the six weeks it will take for acclaimed artist Jason Najarak to complete a mural to honor the generous supporters of Guild Incorporated, which provides integrated treatment and support services for people with mental illness. This quick glimpse is comprised of photos taken every two minutes while Jason starts to put paint on his blank white mural surface.
At the request of Guild Incorporated, we are creating a multi-faceted documentary of a commissioned painting by legendary artist Jason Najarak.
The painting is commissioned by Guild to honor their generous donors. It's a large-scale mural painting, approximately 8 feet wide and 4 feet high. Our challenge was to document Najarak's work in such a way to both see the work come together over the estimated 5 weeks of painting, and also convey a sense of Najarak's personality. We are employing a two-pronged approach.
